Loriconazole is a novel Imidazole topical antifungal drug similar to Ranoconazole. It interferes with fungal cell wall synthesis and fungal growth by inhibiting lanosterol demethylase activity and reducing ergosol Chemicalbook level. In addition to being used for the treatment of tinea pedis, jock itch and tinea corporis, it has also been developed for the treatment of tinea onychis (gray nails).
